About

What began four years ago as a small gathering of passionate homeschool families has grown into a thriving community of faith-filled learners. From those first steps of the climb, Apex has become a place where students are challenged to think deeply, live boldly, and grow in Christ. Today, families from across Polk County join together each week, building friendships that reach far beyond the classroom. More than a co-op, Apex has become a family — united by purpose, anchored in faith, and committed to the climb.

Mission: The Heart of the Climb

At Apex, we believe education is a climb — a steady, faith-anchored ascent that calls students and families to know truth, think deeply, and live boldly for Christ. Our mission is to equip learners with both knowledge and conviction, inspiring them to see every subject and experience through the lens of Scripture. We believe learning should not only sharpen the mind but also shape the heart — leading students to worship the Creator through the pursuit of wisdom, excellence, and service.

From the first step of Cornerstone to the summit of Pinnacle, each stage of the Apex journey — including Capstone and Catalyst — invites students to grow in faith, character, and purpose. Together, we climb with Christ as our guide, forming disciples who are grounded in truth, strengthened by community, and equipped to impact the world for His glory.

Vision: Where Faith Leads and Families Grow

Our vision is to see families and students thrive—anchored in faith, strengthened by truth, and equipped to live with wisdom and purpose. At Apex, we believe learning is a lifelong climb, and every season of that climb looks different. We provide the anchor pegs for families to build upon, giving them the freedom to shape their studies at home as light or as in-depth as their season allows, while remaining grounded in Scripture and guided by community.

We recognize that homeschooling is more than academics—it’s discipleship. Within each family’s unique rhythm, we seek to nurture hearts that love Jesus, minds that seek truth, and lives that reflect His character. We celebrate the individual gifts God has given each student—whether in academics, the arts, athletics, or service—and help them discover how those gifts can be used for His glory.

This freedom and flexibility—anchored in faith and supported by a strong biblical framework—is what makes Apex more than a program. It’s a community of families climbing together, growing in grace, and living out the call to love God and love others well.
